Teaching Assistant

Catch22 is a modern and progressive employer that provides academic and vocational training programmes for young people. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of Maths and English, vocational Qualifications, and enrichment elements to help students prepare for independence.

Requirements

• A Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or above, or a commitment to obtaining this qualification
• Level 2 qualifications in English and maths, or a commitment to obtaining this qualification
• High expectations of pupils' behaviour and clear strategies for working with challenging pupils
• Ability to motivate and encourage children appropriately
• Have experience of teaching children with EAL, SEN, Speech and language difficulties and other complex needs
• Capability to work independently, supported by the teacher, with groups of or individual pupils

• Salary: £17,941.67 - £18,000.78 pro-rata (based on £25,500- £25,584 full time equivalent per annum)
• Contract: 30 hours per week. Term Time only. 39 weeks per annum. 6 months fixed term to cover sickness absence with possibility of extension after fixed term
