Accountant

As an Accountant, you will prepare and maintain accounting information, assist in financial statement preparation, and communicate with stakeholders. Your tasks will include handling daily accounting functions, preparing management accounts and financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Requirements

• ACCA and/or B. Accty. (Hons) qualified or at the final stages of completing ACCA qualification
• 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar position
• Excellent analytical acumen along with a strong ability with reading numbers and figures
• Sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Knowledge of Maltese Tax and VAT legislation
• Conversant with standard software packages, proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Self-motivated with a determined approach to work
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English
• Ability to work both independently and within a team and possessing strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet expected company deadlines
