Job Description
The Head Start (HS) Assistant Teacher will assist the Teacher to plan and execute age and developmentally appropriate activities reflecting the Montessori curriculum.
Requirements
- Minimum of a 30 college credits required
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or 60 credits including 24 credits in Education preferred; or BA or Bachelors degree with 24 credits in education preferred
- CDA preferred
- 2 years of teaching experience in a preschool classroom preferred
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed
