Job Description
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens is seeking a Community Habilitation Skill Developer to provide training and instruction to individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in their homes and community. The position involves implementing the Community Habilitation Plan, documenting progress, and ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of consumers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- At least one year of experience serving the disabled population in the community and their homes preferred
- Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver
- Understanding of Person Centered Planning
- Ability to follow directions well and exhibit good decision-making, and communication skills, both verbal and written
