Treatment Nurse- Come Join a Great Team

Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by physician and in accordance with facility protocol, local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Follow established standards of nursing practice to implement facility policies and procedures related to treatment and medication administration
• Interpret existing policies and procedures to nursing assistants, residents, families, and physicians
• Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care provided and initiate appropriate action as necessary
• Conduct resident rounds as assigned to access the skin conditions of each resident and report problems to charge nurse and take necessary follow-up
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action
• Compile information for facility committees as instructed
• Administer treatments and medications according to the physician's order and accurately record treatment and medications administered
• Document resident care provided and resident's response or lack of response to treatment or medication provided
• Assess each resident's skin condition weekly, and as necessary, including stage, size, sites, depth, color, drainage and odor of each condition
• Obtain physicians' orders and any revisions for treatment or medications as necessary
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
