The Instructional Design Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating engaging learning solutions that support CDC’s goals and enhance employee capability. This role combines expertise in learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and digital technologies to deliver effective learning experiences across various modes.
Requirements
- Consult with stakeholders to identify learning needs and performance gaps.
- Design and develop engaging instructional materials (e-learning, guides, workbooks, assessments).
- Apply learning theories and instructional design models to create effective, learner-focused solutions.
- Manage and curate digital content using LMS platforms and authoring tools.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops, both in-person and online.
- Evaluate programs through feedback and data analysis for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with SMEs and People & Culture to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
- Stay updated on trends in learning technology and instructional design.
- Ensure all materials are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with policies and legislation.
- Oversee and continuously improve the CDC Academy and L&D systems.
