Substation Design Engineer

Lead the end-to-end electrical design of HV + MV substations to support CDC's critical infrastructure portfolio in a newly created role within the dedicated engineering design function. Deliver detailed substation electrical designs, develop and review diagrams and layouts, and coordinate with internal and external teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in substation design (HV/MV), ideally supporting data centres, utilities, or large-scale critical infrastructure
• Strong understanding of primary plant, protection systems, control systems, and earthing design
• Exposure to delivering robust designs across multiple project phases - concept through to commissioning
