Job Description
The CDC Foundation is seeking a Senior Biostatistician to support the Nevada Health Authority, Office of Analytics (NVHA/OOA). The role involves designing, building, and maintaining Power BI dashboards to visualize trends, outcomes, and performance metrics across public health programs in Nevada.
Requirements
- Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Math, Epidemiology, Public Health, Data Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in biostatistics or data analysis, preferably in a public health or state agency setting
- Experience working with large public health or healthcare-related datasets
- Demonstrated proficiency using dashboarding tools including Power BI, statistical software (SAS, R, STATA, SPSS), and SQL
- Strong understanding of biostatistical methods, epidemiology, and public health principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving public health needs
