Taper/Finisher

E&K is a leading interior/exterior finish contractor seeking a Taper/Finisher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for layout and installation of drywall beads, preparation of drywall surfaces, and application of joint compound. The role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work at heights, and willingness to learn company safety policies and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Layout and install drywall beads
• Prepare all drywall surfaces to receive drywall finish products
• Mix, carry and apply joint compound to drywall finishes
• Tape, coat, finish and sand joint compound ready for decoration
• Hand or machine texture walls or ceiling per plans and specifications
• Clean up, protect, move material, tools & equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolds
• Conform to all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards
• Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked and labor dollars
• Arrive to work on time at various locations
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Conform to all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
