The Engineering Consultant I supports Celerity’s project teams by applying engineering expertise to data, documents, and client projects. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering documents, verifying data, performing searches and data validation, analyzing job packages, and providing mark-ups and redlines on engineering documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field; OR Bachelor’s degree in a non-engineering field plus 1+ year of relevant engineering-related experience; OR Associate’s degree or trade certificate in engineering with 3+ years of experience in related fields
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Experience in preparing, reviewing, and performing QC on feature studies, plan & profile (P&L) drawings, or similar documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation), GIS, and/or SAP systems strongly preferred
- Familiarity with performing and documenting basic engineering calculations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based, open environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical matters clearly and concisely
