Planner

Celestica is looking for a Production Planner to act as the link between our manufacturing operations and our high-demand semiconductor customers. With 2-4 years of experience, you are expected to navigate the intricacies of complex mechanical assemblies and high-mix, low-volume electronics production.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
• Understanding of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, materials requirements planning techniques and manufacturing control systems.
• Basic knowledge of purchasing principles, techniques and philosophies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Planning tools such as SAP and RapidResponse.
• Ability to understand customer needs.
• Good analytical and statistical skills.
• Ability to plan strategically for the coordinated build and delivery of one or several products.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
• Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
