Senior Business Analyst

The SAP Finance team within Cenovus’s Corporate Controllers Organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in SAP-enabled month-end close processes and financial reporting. This role is responsible for supporting accurate, complete, and timely financial close and reporting activities, while providing operational support to Financial Accounting and Finance stakeholders.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 8 years of SAP Finance experience, preferably within the energy or oil and gas industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA, specifically within FI, CO, and PS modules.
• Working knowledge of SAP BW/BOBJ reporting, BPC, and Group Reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex close and reporting issues within tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams.
