Job Description
Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Engineer, Relief Valves & System Technical Authority to support downstream operations in Ohio refineries. The role will lead pressure relief device training, oversee the relief systems technical assurance program, and support sites through risk reviews, HAZOPs, and technical consultations.
Requirements
- Serve as the Relief Valve Technical Authority, providing expert pressure relief engineering support across downstream sites.
- Support projects and operations through technical reviews, troubleshooting, and approval of relief device sizing and system calculations.
- Lead the development and maintenance of training and technical assurance programs for pressure relief sizing and downstream systems.
- Evaluate and approve API 520/521 and flare system design exceptions.
- Participate in HAZOPs, flare risk assessments, and investigations to support safe and reliable operations.
- Standardize and guide the creation of technical documentation for pressure relief and flare disposal systems.
