Job Description
Cenovus is looking for a Staff Geologist to join their Conventional Heavy Oil team in Calgary. The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team to optimize reservoir development plans, identify new drilling prospects, and support long-term strategy.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree or higher in Geology
- 12+ years of progressive industry experience
- Registered member of APEGA or another provincial professional geoscience organization
- Proficient in industry-standard geoscience software
- Proven track record in prospect generation, asset evaluation, and development planning
- Strong project management experience
- Solid understanding of geology, sequence stratigraphy, and clastic depositional systems
