Software Engineer (Backend), SaaS Platform

Censys is hiring a Software Engineer II (backend) to build and evolve the Censys Platform, a SaaS product that delivers real-time Internet intelligence and actionable threat insights. The role involves designing, building, and enhancing backend services, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and integrating with internal and external APIs.

Requirements

• Design, build, and enhance backend services that power core functionality across the Censys Platform
• Partner with Product, Design, and Frontend Engineers to deliver features that solve real customer problems
• Integrate with internal and external APIs to support rich, data-driven experiences
• Own the full development lifecycle by automating build, test, deployment, and monitoring workflows
• Contribute to an iterative development process that emphasizes continuous improvement and rapid feedback
• Help evolve the Censys public API as platform capabilities grow
• Own small-to-medium features from technical design through launch, with increasing independence
• Share on-call responsibilities for your areas and handle straightforward incidents with team support as needed
