Chief Medical Officer

Centene is hiring a Chief Medical Officer for its New York Health Plan, Fidelis Care, requiring a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy with 7+ years of clinical experience and management experience, providing medical oversight and leadership to deliver cost-effective, quality healthcare services.

Requirements

• MD or DO without restrictions
• Board Certified Physician
• New York license
• 7+ years clinical experience in the practice of medicine
• Management experience
• Utilization Management experience and knowledge of quality accreditation standards
• Actively practices medicine and provides leadership in the local medical community
• Course work in the areas of Health Administration, Health Financing, Insurance, and/or Personnel Management
• Experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population
• Board certification in a medical specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialists
• Certification in a primary care specialty
• New York state license as a MD or DO without restrictions, limitations or sanctions from government programs
