Job Description
The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Counselor, Jail Diversion to join a team of clinicians who assess the clinical and services needs of defendants currently being held in pretrial detention. The Counselor will conduct independent clinical assessments and draft treatment recommendations for defendants, while collaborating with key external stakeholders and navigating competing stakeholder perspectives.
Requirements
- MHC and at least 4-5 years in criminal justice and/or a related field
- Licensure as LMSW or LMHC in the state of New York is strongly preferred
- Experience in a court or criminal justice settings, including working with incarcerated people is preferred
