The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to support youth justice initiatives in Staten Island, NY. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working with youth from marginalized communities and a valid driver's license.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2-5 years of experience working with youth from marginalized communities
- Valid driver's license
- Strong knowledge of community resources in the North Shore of Staten Island
- Ability to seek direction and advice when necessary and make independent decisions when possible
- Good judgment, a trauma-informed approach, excellent communication, and organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and provide crisis management as needed
- Computer literacy and knowledge of the juvenile justice system
