The Director of Paratransit is responsible for all aspects of planning, strategy and implementation of the Paratransit Program. The position requires a flexible schedule and a strategic mindset balancing customer service while analyzing data to create structure and implement best practices and policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent
- Five years’ experience in transit, preferably paratransit programs in a dynamic or flexible scheduling environment, logistics, or transportation services
- Strong management/leadership skills including 5+ years’ experience as a director/manager
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and department and organizational communication and project management software and apps
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to be empathetic and persuasive in individual and group settings
- Possess a valid State of California Driver’s License
- Cal/OSHA 30 or 10 certification preferred
- Ability to operate all paratransit vehicles
- Sensitivity and compassion for elderly and physically and/or emotionally disabled individuals
