Job Description
Centra Sota Cooperative’s vision is to improve lives and create a more vibrant future for farmers, families, and communities in Central MN. As a Crop Scout Intern, you will develop and complete an internship project, present to our Agronomy, Feed, and Leadership team, and receive in-depth training with our Centra Sota Feed staff and partners at WinField.
Requirements
- Weed & Insect identification
- General knowledge of chemicals and fertilizers
- Conduct emergence and stand counts
- Taking and interpreting tissue and soil samples
- Moisture probe installation and maintenance
- Nutrient deficiency identification and main
- Precision plant knowledge
- Internship project in coordination with your direct manager and presentation at the end of your internship
- Demonstrate a commitment to doing what’s right, a solid work ethic, a strong sense of ownership, a passion for agriculture, and genuine respect for others
