Early Head Start Teacher

The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for the care and education of enrolled children, including physical caregiving, developmental assessments, and implementing age-appropriate curricula.

Requirements

• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Works well with individuals of all cultures and socio-economic backgrounds
• Strong organizational skills, ability to monitor and prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to regularly lift and carry toddlers who may range in weight up to 45 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, and rise from the floor
• Ability to reach with hands/arms and use hands to manipulate, handle, and feel objects
• Background check/drug screen
• Reliable transportation required
