Job Description
The Diesel Service Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance for mechanics, repairs, and service/maintenance as directed by the Service Foreman, performing tasks such as service and maintenance on all makes and models of heavy-duty trucks, and rebuilding of Allison transmissions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical school certificate in related field
- A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in manual fabrication
- Ability to use standard and metric measures
- Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Ability to repair components and equipment in line with dealer and manufacturers, flat-rate time standards
- Strong mechanical skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Commitment to maintaining an orderly and safe working environment
