Job Description
As a Telecom Engineering Specialist, you will design and configure voice, video, and data communications systems, supervise installation and maintenance, and provide technical support and diagnostic services for a range of equipment and systems. You will also work closely with other organizations to ensure continuity of operations and provide incident management and reporting services.
Requirements
- Design and configure voice, video, and data communications systems
- Supervise installation and maintenance of TCF encrypted and unencrypted communications equipment
- Perform technical control functions on Government-owned and leased circuits, equipment, and facilities
- Configure, install, test, and monitor all TCF circuits and associated data lines
- Provide technical support and remote diagnostics for equipment and systems
- Develop, maintain, and implement contingency and restoral plans
- Provide circuit action support and coordinate with distant end sites
- Follow procedures to safeguard DISA-owned DISN equipment against loss or damage
