Job Description
Reporting to the Manager Financial Reporting, the Junior Accountant is responsible for completing daily accounting duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Centurion Property Associates Inc. | Centurion Asset Management Inc.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting or related field
- 2-3 years of general accounting experience
- Able to work both independently and comfortably as part of a team
- Strong command of MS-Word and MS-Excel
- Proficient with computerized financial system
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong aptitude for working in a deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented with attention to accuracy; able to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense
- Forward thinking with an ability to develop creative strategic solutions to issues
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner
- Experience with Yardi property management systems required
