Job Description
A Moving Experience. Senior Software Developer - Android position available at Cerence Inc. in Montreal. Responsibilities include speech dialog system application development for android platform, collaborating with a team, and maintaining code quality.
Requirements
- 5 years+ of work experience
- Extensive experience with Android framework
- Knowledge of http, tcp protocol
- Familiar with Android Audio HAL and audio framework
- Familiar with Android OpenSLES for audio recording and playback
- Experience with Hybrid application development
- Experience with Bluetooth connectivity and Bluetooth audio programming
- Understanding of Google’s Android app design principles and interface guidelines
- Knowledge of user interface design and a passion for making delightful user experiences
- Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
- Familiar with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Familiar with socket programming
- Familiar with NDK and native code development
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment
- Solid C/C++, Java coding skills
