AI Engineer

Chai Discovery is seeking an AI Engineer to develop AI x biology foundation models and applications for real-world drug discovery challenges. The AI Engineer will work closely with the founding team to build, optimize, and maintain software and infrastructure that power our AI-driven drug discovery pipeline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Deep understanding of operating system internals (Unix)
• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure such as Slurm and Kubernetes
• Experience with performance engineering (familiarity with profiling tools, optimizing CPU and GPU workloads, writing CUDA and Triton kernels, and so forth)
• Experience writing, building, and maintaining large-scale ETL pipelines
• Experience using deep learning libraries such as PyTorch
