Controller

Challenger Partners is seeking a Controller to build the financial infrastructure of their platform from the ground up. The Controller will be responsible for establishing centralized accounting and reporting, managing multi-entity consolidations, and partnering with operations to drive financial clarity across a growing platform of trades businesses.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• At least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany consolidations, and shared services or centralized finance functions
• Strong command of job costing, WIP reporting, and project-based revenue recognition
• Proficiency in at least one accounting or ERP platform (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, Jonas, Viewpoint, or similar)
• Experience managing or developing small accounting teams (AP, AR, payroll, bookkeeping staff)
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
