The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting our team by assisting with hiring, onboarding, and HR operations.
Requirements
- Support the full hiring process, from screening candidates to sending offer letters
- Coordinate interviews and assist hiring managers with seasonal and part-time recruitment
- Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires, including background checks and paperwork
- Maintain accurate employee and volunteer records in HRIS and file systems
- Represent the Park District at job fairs, volunteer fairs, and recruitment events
- Support volunteer onboarding and recordkeeping in volunteer management software
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality, safety, and equal opportunity policies
- Perform other HR and administrative tasks as assigned
