ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to join their Special Education team and perform meaningful work in a supportive, student-centered environment. The role involves providing personalized support, supervision, and guidance to students in Grades 6-12, implementing individualized instruction and behavioral interventions, and encouraging individual student growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with passage of basic skills test
- Associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study (preferred)
- Licensed paraprofessional, paraeducator, education assistant, or similar credential (preferred)
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company-approved crisis management training
- Prior experience providing instruction, guidance, and/or support to children
- Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions
- Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
