Safety Specialist

We are seeking a Safety Specialist to enforce health and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures within the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and/or compliance functions, OSHA 510 certification, and a working knowledge of heavy equipment and excavation safety.

Requirements

• Promote a safe workplace without risk to health
• Ensure the workplace satisfies health and safety requirements
• Investigate accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases
• Report or review findings from accident investigations and facilities inspections
• Provide weekly reports on activities and observations
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
• Work with the Safety Manager to conduct or coordinate worker training
• Interview employers and employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents
• Communicates safety policies with customers
• Act as safety resource contact for site managers on multiple projects / jobs
• Perform other duties as assigned
