Job Description
La Plata High School is seeking a Part-time Varsity Head Varsity Winter Cheerleading Coach. The role involves developing a coaching program, assisting the Head Coach, and fostering a positive learning environment for the sport. The position requires dedication, commitment, and communication skills. The position includes full responsibilities related to coaching, student supervision, and upholding school policies.
Requirements
- Teachers or certificated professional educators employed by the local Board of Education
- Persons certifiable as professional educators by the State Department of Education
- Credentialed coaches who meet the following requirement: Are eligible to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.12.01.
- Possess a MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification
- Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach.
- Completed two years as a successful emergency coach at the school of hire in the position of hire
