Job Description
This part-time position within the McDonough High School Cross Country program involves assisting the Head Coach with overall program development, coaching, and student-athlete supervision. The role requires communication with students, parents, and administration, as well as upholding school policies. It emphasizes character development and strong moral behavior.
Requirements
- Teachers or certificated professional educators employed by the local Board of Education
- Persons certifiable as professional educators by the State Department of Education
- Credentialed coaches who meet the following requirement: Are eligible to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.12.01.
- Possess a MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification
- Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach
- Completed two years of successful coaching at the school of hire
- Knowledge of Charles County Public Schools Extra-Curricular Handbook
