Job Description
The position is for an Assistant Coach at McDonough High School, focused on developing an effective coaching program. The role involves skill development, practice planning, supervising players, and maintaining team morale. The assistant coach will work directly with the head coach and the school administration, as well as provide support to the student-athletes.
Requirements
- Teachers or certified professional educators employed by the local Board of Education
- Credentialed coaches meeting COMAR 13A.12.01 requirements and MPSSAA/MSDE coaching certification
- Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach
- Successful emergency coaching as a head coach
- Commitment to good moral and physical behavior
- Ability to maintain team sportsmanship and adherence to school policies
- Active participation in all varsity games and athletic activities
