Animal Technician I

Charles River Laboratories is seeking an Animal Technician to join their Integrated Toxicology team at the Kansas City (CR-KAN) Site. This role involves performing basic skills such as animal handling, housing maintenance, and feeding procedures, as well as collecting data and observing animal health status. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and no previous experience is required. The pay range for this position is $20/hour.

Requirements

• Ensure good welfare and humane care for all animals
• Perform basic skills of animal handling, housing maintenance, and feeding procedures
• Collect, document, and review data on forms or in electronic data capture systems
• Review documentation of functions performed as part of quality control requirements
• Use and maintain instrumentation and equipment
