Class Underwriter - Specialist Lines

The Class Underwriter - Specialist Lines role involves assisting the Senior Class Underwriter in underwriting new, renewal and mid-term alterations, and managing relationships with customers, agents and service providers.

Requirements

• Assist Senior Class Underwriter in underwriting new, renewal and mid-term alterations
• Manage relationships with customers, agents and service providers
• Prepare formal documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure accuracy and upkeep of written premium data on Charisma
• Build strong market peer group reputation
• Participate in and chair special projects as required
• Report issues to Senior Class Underwriter
• Client liaison for allocated risks
• Travel to Coverholders/MGAs, producers and conferences
• Reporting to Divisional Head in absence of Senior Class Underwriter/Class Underwriter
• Ensure records are properly recorded and updated
• Comply with all policies and procedures
• Manage relationships with Customers, Agents and Service Providers
• Advise, assist and service customers on insurance and risk matters
• Foster positive relationships with Customers and attain an understanding of their needs
• Ensure that Customer Complaints are promptly identified, recorded and referred as appropriate
• Complete all required annual product review assessments
• Follow all Chaucer Group Product Governance processes
