Senior Security Engineer

As our next Senior Security Engineer, you'll play a key role in helping us build the UK's go-to home improvement marketplace by shaping and strengthening our security posture. Your work will directly support millions of homeowners in finding the right tradesperson for the job fast, fair, and without the faff by protecting the systems and data that power those connections.

Requirements

• A seasoned practitioner with demonstrable, hands-on experience across Security Operations, Incident Response, and Security Engineering.
• An AI-forward builder with a strong technical perspective on how agentic patterns, machine learning, and human-in-the-loop design can transform security engineering practices.
• A systems thinker and standardiser with a holistic, system-level approach to security challenges, standardising processes and technology where it adds maximum value while enabling autonomy for development teams.
• A technical doer and transformer with a passion for building AI-powered security solutions.
• Resilient and adaptable with a strong ability to thrive in high-intensity, demanding environments.
• Cloud-agnostic with extensive experience securing complex, distributed multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Technically deep in networking and infrastructure with strong exposure to modern networking, platform engineering, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
