Engineering Manager, Verifications

Checkr is seeking an Engineering Manager for Verifications to lead and grow the Verifications engineering team, own the reliability and quality of a broad portfolio of fulfillment integrations, and drive technical strategy for scaling a complex, integration-heavy system.

Requirements

• 4+ years as an engineering manager
• 8+ years as a software engineer
• Experience managing complex third-party integration environments
• A track record of improving operational metrics
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools
• Experience working on regulated products
• Strong incident management skills
• Ability to make prioritization decisions quickly
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A genuine investment in developing people
• Humility, openness to feedback, and eagerness to learn
