Senior Software Engineer

Checkr is building the data platform to power safe and fair decisions. We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help us bring fair background checks to corporate clients. The mission of our team is to provide the most accurate and exhaustive criminal background check in the industry for clients around the world.

Requirements

• Build and evolve software with a focus on creating platform features that other teams will use in their work.
• Produce a large amount of high-quality code to build scalable, efficient, and secure APIs.
• Use frontend skills to build effective components in React.js that can be used across Checkr.
• Design and improve the system architecture of our platform that drives Checkr’s Screening products.
• Collaborate with Staff and Principal Engineers to influence and execute our technical designs.
• Communicate effectively with the engineers across Checkr that depend on the functionality you’re building: they will be your main clients!
• Write clear documentation on how to interact with the features you build, applications, and good software practices.
• Implement steps in the CI/CD pipeline and manage version control (Git).
• Mentor and guide other developers within the Engineering organization.
• Help identify and resolve complex errors (bugs).
