Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of mechanical systems and equipment within the chemical plant. This role involves supporting effective maintenance, troubleshooting, developing technician skills, mechanical projects, and repair tasks to support continuous plant operations.

What You Will Do

Maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through systematic evaluation and improvement initiatives to enhance equipment availability, performance, and quality. Conduct root-cause investigations to identify and resolve issues affecting equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of rotating equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, and mechanical seals. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards in a chemical plant setting is also required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a similar and compatible field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering & maintenance, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, piping systems, pressure vessels, and mechanical seals.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards in a chemical plant setting.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
