Mechanical Engineer - Intermediate Chemicals

Role Overview

Provide mechanical maintenance engineering technical expertise to plant Operations and Maintenance personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and equipment strategies. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, and project management manual.

What You Will Do

Troubleshoot failures, repair equipment, and provide input to facility and equipment strategies. Review comments from certifying authority on design of mechanical systems/equipment and assist in resolving issues.

Must have strong experience in a similar role working in an ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant. Maintenance, reliability, and turnaround experience are required. Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs is necessary.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 – 5 years of experience and knowledge of the chemical/plant industry
• Maintenance, reliability, and turnaround experience
• Strong experience in a similar role working in an ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant
• Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office programs
• Strong computer skills, including process simulation tools such as Aspen
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
• Able to manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop engineering solutions
