Industrial Quality Control Auditor, 1st shift - Hammond, LA

CHEP is looking for a Quality Control Auditor to join their Hammond, LA team on 1st shift. The role involves thoroughly inspecting pallets to ensure they meet quality standards and compliance regulations. The team values safety, continuous improvement, quality, and employee well-being.

Requirements

• Lifts pallets for inspection to ensure compliance with quality, regulatory requirements and customer specifications
• Inspect pallets for defects, damages, and inconsistencies in materials or assembly
• Utilize tools and equipment to correct minor issues and verify dimensions, weight, and other quality parameters of pallets
• Identify and document any deviations from quality standards
• Communicates inspections results and quality issues with production teams and supervisors
• Adheres to PCP standards and guidelines
• Partners with Quality Lead to ensure plant compliance of quality practices and continuous and improvement initiatives
• Provide support during audits and inspections
• Lift and carry 77 lbs at least 33% of their work shift
• Push items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet
• Pull items with a maximum force of 31 lbs./feet
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately
