Lower School Lead Teacher - First Grade

Children’s Day School is seeking a Lower School Lead Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and experienced educator who can lead and implement grade-level curriculum, provide a hands-on learning experience, and support the social, emotional, and academic growth of students. The position involves working with a teaching partner, co-leading curriculum development, and collaborating with the grade-level team and school administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Teaching credential or minimum three years of classroom teaching experience
• Successful experience with inquiry-based models of elementary teaching
• Experience with curriculum development and/or oversight
• Cultural competency and ability to support issues of social justice work in the classroom
• Proficiency in Google Suite and multiple platforms for organization and curriculum implementation
