Job Description
Behavioral and Mental Health Therapist - Outpatient Clinic at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Provides evidence-based and effective delivery of services, including assessments, consultation, and therapy, to patients with a broad range of conditions. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited university
- An unrestricted license in the state of Georgia (LCSW, LMFT, LPC)
- 3 years supervised experience with providing intake evaluations and regularly scheduled therapy services for children and adolescents within a medical setting or behavioral mental health facility
- Ability to work as part of interdisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal skills with patients, teammate, and leadership
- Knowledge of evidence-based, age-appropriate treatment and practice
- Ability to remain calm and manage verbal/physical responses in stressful situations
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in behavioral mental programs and procedures
- Developed cultural humility and ability to work with diverse populations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
