The faculty physician is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational and advocacy initiatives.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of required residency and fellowship training
- Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
- Ability to function independently in evaluating patient problems and developing a plan for patient care
- Ability to supervise, advise, educate and train clinical professionals and/or students
- Fully licensed and credentialed attending staff category physician on the medical staff of Children's National Medical Center
- Board eligible/certified in anesthesiology and in pediatric anesthesiology
