Job Description
The Child Life Specialist-AdaptCare will provide a therapeutic, educational, and recreational program for patients undergoing medical procedures and treatments. The specialist will assess and support the psychosocial needs of the patient and their families, and advocate for their needs to healthcare professionals. The role will involve creating and implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an internship which meets the standards set by the Association of Child Life Professionals
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or related field
- Certified Child Life Specialist within 2 years
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 180 Days
