Job Description
Victim Specialist - Assist victims of crime by providing a full range of services, including assistance with compensation claims, court support, and case status updates.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to speak in public
- Basic knowledge of the dynamics of intimate partner violence
- Basic understanding of tribal cultures, customs, beliefs, values, social systems, and structure of native families
- Experience with legal filing systems and calendaring court dates
- Working knowledge of the criminal and juvenile court systems
- Experience working with the public, victims, and attorneys
- Two years' experience working in the field of counseling, victim advocacy, or social services
