Job Description
CBBEL's Lockport office is seeking a Civil Design Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in transportation, infrastructure, and municipal design. The role involves applying principles of civil engineering to design and analyze infrastructure systems, working independently on design and production of construction plans, and contributing to team efforts. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in transportation, infrastructure, and/or municipal civil design
- EIT and/or PE preferred, and actively working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Familiarity with local agencies including Illinois municipalities, IDOT, Will/Cook/DuPage County, and regulatory permitting agencies
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and Geopak, or similar tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer
