Senior Backend Engineer

Chubb's AI Platform team is building an enterprise AI platform powering RAG-based search, document intelligence, and AI-assisted workflows for thousands of users across the global organization. The Senior Backend Engineer, AI Platform owns the backend surface and is responsible for designing and implementing feature modules end-to-end, enforcing JWT authentication guards, and instrumenting contributions with OpenTelemetry distributed tracing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with backend development
• Proven expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS
• Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and OpenTelemetry
• Strong understanding of Swagger/OpenAPI and Conventional Commits
• Excellent coding skills with unit tests and e2e tests
• Experience with Python and FastAPI (desired)
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and Azure AI Search (desired)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
