Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js)

At ChurchDesk, we're a SaaS company helping churches modernize and stay connected with their communities. We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take hands-on ownership of backend projects and drive implementations to completion. The role involves mentoring and supporting other engineers, collaborating with the product team, and building reliable, scalable, and modular systems using NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Deep expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and relational databases (particularly MySQL)
• Experience building scalable, performant, and modular backend systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Experience working remotely and legal authorization to work in the EU
