Job Description
As a Senior UX Designer at Ciena, you will lead and execute complex design initiatives, conduct user research, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with business goals. You will also maintain and evolve cross-portfolio UX guidelines to ensure a unified and scalable user experience across all products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Product or User Experience Design
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and accessibility standards
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar
- Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively
